We are always on the lookout for previously unreleased and uncommon varieties. This group has been provided by USDA-ARS. Some of these were brought into the country years ago and some as recently as the fall of 2012. It will be interesting to see what will happen when growing through winters at -25º F or colder. We are optimistic that some true seed may be produced, too. Hopefully the testing will provide an opportunity for a positive outcome and some new releases in the coming years.
NEW: USDA garlic trial for 2018 harvest, all believed to be Creoles, late spring snowstorm, almost none survived
